Our global ministry is done through our parent denomination, and particularly through their mission arm known as the United Methodist Committee on Relief, or UMCOR. UMCOR’s administrative costs are paid through a special offering conducted denomination wide, which allows all money donated to a specific cause to go toward that cause.
Through UMCOR, our local church has answered the needs of people from Japan to Napal, to Haiti, to right in our own backyard in Kansas and Nebraska. For more information visit www.umcor.org
Every year we work with Life Spring Church to fill backpacks full of school supplies for local students who are in need financially.
Likewise we are able to help families in financial hardship provide Christmas gifts to their children during the Christmas season.
We have a Sunday School program for children of elementary school age young people during worship on Sunday mornings. Children begin in worship with their parents/guardians, and after a Children’s Message, are invited to join our certified* teachers in the education wing for the rest of the service time.
*Our lead teachers must be certified through the Safe Gatherings program. Find out more here: https://safegatherings.com/faq/
Worship and Building
Worship is at 10:45 Sunday morning at our beautiful, historic sanctuary at 112 E Nichols St. in Spring Hill, KS
Our building was built in 1910 and has been in use ever since. With beautiful stained glass, centered around the above window, it provides a sacred feel that has become rare in church facilities.
